Our beginning:

 

In 2013, we had already spent 7 years in Maryland, USA. I asked our God to direct me to his purpose. I had some dreams where God did an operation on my heart where he introduced a flame of fire, which I felt the heat inside my chest. Then he gave me the instruction "FEED MY PEOPLE". Then, in another dream where I was given the decision to stay where I had been called and not move, I saw a congregation singing along with me and they said HALLELUJAH, all at the same time and dressed in different cultural outfits and the ladies covering their heads with veils of different colors. I knew that God did not want me to change from the teaching I had learned from the word of God. Guided by the Holy Spirit, I wrote a letter to the board of directors of my council, The Church of God, Inc. I was advised by two ministers, Rev. Luis Baez and Rev. Angel L. Perez, who helped us begin our ministry. My husband Tomas Rodriguez and this servant offered to start a new congregation in Baltimore, MD, with the written permission and following the biblical order for it. We received our ministry credentials on December 20, 2013.

By then, I had already been congregating in a Hispanic congregation of a sister council and had collaborated as a member in it, submitted to a Pastor. I do not mention their names out of respect for the privacy code that we must obey in our country. I had already informed my Pastor of the calling that God was revealing to me. What was the reaction of the congregation? I want to tell you that they gave us a warm farewell with joy and sadness at the same time because they gave a lot of love to my family and I, and we also loved them, we love them and we will always love them for their unconditional support. They anointed us with oil, as the word says, and prayed for us to begin the ministry in my house.

 

We started the first week of January 2014. Who were we? My husband, Tomas Rodriguez, my children, Eliu Rodriguez and Caleb Rodriguez, and my grandchildren, Ana M. Rodriguez and Tomas Rodriguez, Jr. The services began Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. By April 24th of the same year, we received the incorporation documents before the government in the city of Baltimore, MD. We were incorporated under the name of Berea, Prayer and Bible Study Center, The Church of God, Inc. God had given me that name 2 years before the ministry began.

 

By October of that same year, the Lord continued to bring families to this congregation. We were meeting in my home until September 15, 2015. Then, by the direction of the Holy Spirit, He took us to rent time at the Hunting Ridge Presbyterian Church building in Baltimore, MD, where we are currently.
